My Family Ordered Pizza at My Wedding Because I Served a $15,000 Vegan Menu & Not ‘Real Food’

While many people saw both sides, others were firmly either for or against the bride and her choices.

“You were the a–hole because you tried to trick people to eat what you wanted them to eat KNOWING there were people who would not choose to do so if given a choice,” one person wrote. “You wanted to FORCE people to bend to your will. Karma came for you. It usually does sooner or later. In your case, it was sooner.”

Another commented: “If people know anything about you they would know you are vegan. They are there to celebrate YOU as a couple and could have sucked it up for one meal.”

“I get wanting to share your lifestyle, but not telling people upfront was kind of unfair, especially when it led to the pizza drama,” someone else wrote. “You could’ve avoided all that by just giving a heads-up.”

“I’m a meat eater but why does everyone ate like they would die over a single vegan meal?” another comment reads. “Weird concept. Very rude for someone to also order pizza, that’s just trashy behaviour. Imagine showing up to a wedding that isn’t yours with food for everyone else… like, drinks yes please, but food when there’s already catered food is rude AF.”
