Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been divorced for six years, and both have moved on with their lives. Affleck is on honeymoon in Paris with his new wife, Jennifer Lopez, and Garner is enjoying the garden of her new home. She shared sneak peeks of a few rooms.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck met while filming the action and fantasy movie “Daredevil” in 2003. At the time, Affleck was still dating Jennifer Lopez, so his relationship with Garner only started in 2004.
Garner and Affleck fell hard for each other, and by 2005, the couple was ready to tie the knot. Affleck proposed to his costar on her 33rd birthday, and they married after two months on June 29, 2005.
The wedding ceremony was very intimate, with only four people in Turks and Caicos. It included their witnesses, the officiant, Victor Garber, who is also a close friend of Garner.
When the couple got married, Garner was already pregnant with their first child, so at the end of 2005, Affleck welcomed their daughter Violet on December 1.
The “Daredevil” cos-stars had two more children, Seraphina, born in 2009, and Samuel, who came in 2012.
WHAT LED TO JENNER GARNER AND BEN AFFLECK’S DIVORCE?
Garner and Affleck unexpectedly announced their divorce just a day after their 10th anniversary. They were one of Hollywood’s favorite couples and were famously photographed on the coffee runs and trips to the farmers market.

While interviewing with Haward Stern, a clip from the podcast went viral. Affleck was opening up about his struggle with alcohol and confessed that part of it was because he was “trapped” in his marriage.
Affleck said he believed he would have still been drinking if he and Garner did not separate. However, Affleck thought he was vulnerable about his difficulties, but many felt that the conversation was him blaming Garner for his drinking problem.
Alas, Affleck went to The Jimmy Fallon show to clarify his meaning. The actor said he would never speak badly about the mother of his children and believed the interview would empower people rather than what it had turned to.
Garner also did not take what her ex-husband had said about her to heart. The “13 going on 30” star told Enews about the hardship of going through a separation.
Garner said the fact that her divorce was public was not the most challenging part, but simply enduring the ending of marriage was not easy.
The divorce’s effect on her children and for Garner to stay strong for them was another difficult part of the process.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Garner shared that she was sad she would not be able to dance with her husband at her daughter’s wedding.
However, in 2021, five years after...
