The people of Reddit agreed that she was well within her rights to get the law involved.
“He intentionally poisoned your kid,” one user said simply. “Report him. He shouldn’t be around any children.”
Other people with celiac disease were infuriated by this story.
“I feel so badly for the son,” one user wrote. “People lump celiac in with food allergies when it’s an autoimmune disease…I can’t even figure out why the grandfather would care. It effects him in exactly zero ways.”
Having to answer to a higher authority might nail this lesson home for this grandad. He likely wouldn’t have to serve time in prison, but hopefully the shame and embarrassment would help him understand the gravity of the situation.
